Bay Area Barspin with Kevin Kiraly for Macneil
When Kiraly switched sponsors from Verde to Macneil, I knew it was time for another trip up to San Francisco to shoot some heavy moves. Kevin does a really professional job of finding big locations and waiting until the time is right to shoot or film. This spot was no different, and was one of three massive spots we ended up at throughout the weekend.

Chopped and bobbed denim ad for Vans rider
Vans is making a big push for their denim line which has become better than ever.
This is the second one of the year featuring Huntington Beach BMX rider Dakota Roche cruising down Pacific Coast Highway on his Honda CB450.
Hanging out the side of a minivan at 40 mph, shot with a Canon image stabilization lens to create just the right amount of panning motion blur for that vintage look.
The HB power plant was a crucial part of the photo that really ties this photograph Dakota Roche’s hometown.
100 Pools BMX Book
Here is a little preview of the 100 Pools book I helped put together last year with empty pool photos from all over Southern California, Arizona and Las Vegas.
Dean Dickinson is the man behind the project and now has over 150 pools in his quiver. Check it out the teaser below to get a taste of his life as a pool hunter.
RedBull Cross Country Trip
I just stepped off a massive cross-country road trip with Red Bull’s BMX crew. Kicking off in Salt Lake City we drove to Moab, UT, powered through to Evergreen, Colorado, motored two days south to Austin, Texas all within 7 days and photo shoots in every location. Upon arriving in Austin, one of out locations was flooded so we scratched the whole day and rented a couple pontoon boats on Lake Travis for the day and spent the better part of 8-hours diving off limestone cliffs and passing around a jet ski for hot-laps across the lake. The photos from this athlete project will be used for X Games promotions, featured in The Red Bulletin, a poster in BMX Plus! Magazine and for international editorial distribution in countries all around the world.
Santiago, Chile - A BMX shoot in South America
I made a last minute trip down to Santiago, Chile to meet with with form BMX riders for some unique photo opportunities. We ended up riding some crazy concrete sculptures and drove to the base of the Andes mountains for a sunset shoot amongst the vineyards. Thanks to Coco Zurita, Colin Mackay and Dennis Enarson for going big in our few days of dry weather. The photos were used for the 2012 Haro Bicycle catalog and new Ride BMX ad. Next time we are going to head north, from what the locals tell us it only gets better the closer we get to Iquique.
