On the Web
So this is what you get when I get a 7hr delay going to Vancouver.
Web junk!
New Snafu Site
http://www.snafubmx.com
About the same time Vital BMX dropped their new site (yesterday), the BMX parts company Snafu (Situation Normal All Fucked Up) changed their site up quite a bit. Snafu has quietly been building a pretty heavy hitter team in the last year. Morgan Wade, Dave Mirra, Jeremiah Smith, Brad Simms, Matt Sparks, Jeremie Infelise, Jake Ortiz, etc. I was over at their office the other day and saw some pretty insane prototype parts laying on the table. About the same time McGoo’s vermin dog was humping my leg. Enjoy the new site.
The Nikon D90.
It’s a 12.3 megapixel pro-sumer camera that shoots video in HD 720p. Holy shit.
Here is a video of Chase Jarvis testing them out a couple months before the release. I really would like to see the video from these cameras. Looks like it will be easier to film at the Dew Tour and NBA games from now on…..Think about that.

Leaf

On the other end of the spectrum there is the Leaf medium format digital camera. Leaf’s camera backs have been top shelf for a while now, but only a couple years ago did they do their own camera body using the Rollei skeleton. I’ve been drooling over this one for a while and now the closer I come to pulling the trigger, Hasselblad comes out with a tilt shift lens. http://www.hasselbladusa.com/products/h-system/hts-15.aspx
Now to my knowledge you can’t use the Leaf backs on the H3 but you can use them on the older Hassy bodies (H1 & H2). Hassy closed their system with the H3 so you had to use Hassy backs with the new system. All this shit costs $30,000.00+. So once again there is the dilemma; the digi back or the Lotus Exige.
Speaking of the Lotus….
Lotus Exige v/s Apache Helicopter
It doesn’t get much better than out running a war-bird with a 1.8liter go-cart.
Something awful could have happened.

My friends from the pool I used to work at introduced me to this and I can only imagine this is the genre of web crap that they lurk on all day while rotting at John Deere Corp in Moline, IL.
My favorite section is the Photoshop Phriday. See for yourself, there are some creatives pumping out high-level photoshop work all for your enjoyment.
